Happy Halloween!!

Halloween is a yearly celebration in different countries on 31st October. It is the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day.


Halloween vocabulary

Typical Halloween activities include “trick or treat”.  Children in costumes, as ghosts, witches, vampires…, go from house to house to ask for “treat” such as candy, with the phrase “Trick or treat”

Apple bobbings is a game often played in Halloween. The game is played by filling a tub or a large basin with water and putting apples floating at the surface in the water. Children try to catch one with their teeth. They can’t use their arms and often are tied behind the back to prevent cheating.
